History

Since our launch, SmokeFest SL has grown into one of Second Life’s hottest events. Each year, we level up—introducing fresh themes, next-level performances, and interactive art installations that keep the crowd buzzing. What started as a small gathering has evolved into an epic festival that people talk about all year long.

SmokeFest SL is brought to life by the creative vision of Yung Gunz Guzman. With a deep passion for music, art, and community, Yung has built SmokeFest into a celebration of creativity and connection. His innovative approach blends cutting-edge virtual design with heart-driven collaboration, making every event a must-see. From curating the festival lineup to bringing the interactive grounds to life, Yung is the driving force behind the SmokeFest experience.

Vail

Vail is the official Smokefest IV Landscaper and Creative Director who has redefined the art of virtual landscape and design. With unparalleled skill in creating hyper-realistic spaces, she transforms any virtual environment into a breathtaking landscape. From the colorful and vibrant festival grounds to the Pacific coastal getaways, Vail’s designs are not only aesthetically pleasing but also meticulously crafted to embody natural realism, harmony, and innovation. At Smokefest, she transformed the festival grounds into breathtaking experiences, turning vision into reality with thoughtful design, vibrant landscaping, and artistic precision. Vail’s exceptional talent in landscape design and immersive spatial planning is on full display at this year’s festival, where she played a pivotal role in shaping the visual and environmental experience of Smokefest. In under a month, she designed and brought to life three distinct regions—each with its own identity and atmosphere—showcasing a level of skill, creativity, and execution never before seen at Smokefest.

Meet Propane Rage also known as Poppy – a multifaceted creative force blending design, storytelling, and immersive world-building. A UX designer by trade, Poppy also serves as the brand manager behind several standout brands including BOYS TO THE BONE, FAKEICON, CAMO, BEUSY, Semller, Hiemal and MaMu. Outside of brand management, Poppy is known to moonlight as a hobby DJ, but she’s most often found behind the scenes in the Alterscape sims—especially Backwaters—where she serves as admin and decorator. There, she crafts rich, immersive environments for roleplayers, known for their realistic details and smart, expressive use of color. She’s also the newest addition to the Smokefest Team, where her signature style comes to life. From decorating rentals to transforming festival areas, Poppy infuses every space with a vibrant, realistic touch that turns locations into living, breathing experiences. She also contributes to blogger management and will serve as backstage manager for this year’s festival, helping bring the entire event together from behind the curtain.

Roxy Chronotis

Roxy Chronotis is a vibrant force in the Second Life community—a live performer, event host, venue owner, and marketing mastermind with a heart that beats for music, storytelling, and connection. Whether she’s behind the mic, organizing immersive experiences, or bringing regions to life through seasonal design, Roxy creates spaces that inspire joy and spark community. Known for her magnetic energy and creative flair, she’s also one of the voices behind the SL Music Discord and a passionate supporter of Relay for Life and other cause-driven events. If there’s a spotlight, Roxy doesn’t just step into it—she makes it shine.

Cody Chronotis is the steady hand behind the scenes and the sharp ear behind the soundboard. A passionate supporter of live music in Second Life, Cody wears many hats—venue owner, sound technician, and one of the driving forces behind the SL Music Discord. Known for his calm presence and technical skill, he ensures every show runs smoothly and sounds phenomenal. Whether he’s organizing events, troubleshooting mid-set, or cheering from the wings, Cody is all about amplifying others and making the music scene thrive. Reliable, lowkey brilliant, and deeply invested in the community, Cody doesn’t seek the spotlight—but the spotlight wouldn’t shine as bright without him.
